The Netball Players Association (NPA) provides a unified voice supporting and promoting player welfare in the United Kingdom and we have worked with them since their launch at the beginning of 2018.
We continue to work with the NPA helping them represent the ‘Player Voice’, negotiating clauses on their members behalf and addressing the balance of power with the national Governing Body, England Netball. Working alongside the NPA we have introduced the concept for consideration of maternity provisions in professional women’s sport and introduced a platform to protect Intellectual Property Rights. Each year we negotiate the player contracts at national level and the professional Vitality Superleague contracts with the clubs. We also regularly represent the NPA and its members at national and global discussion forums at the Professional Players Federation, Commonwealth Games Federation and World Players Union.

The NPA has worked with Gen since its formation two and a half years ago. From the very beginning. Gen and her colleagues at Tactic Connect have provided so much support and advice, not just in respect of legal and commercial matters but as real champions of what we are trying to achieve for our members. Gen has guided us with her knowledge and helped us to find the right contacts through her extensive networks and even more importantly has always been available.
As a new Players Association with 100% female members in a low wage sport the challenges are huge and having Gen in our corner has made a real difference and given the NPA the confidence to keep growing and striving to deliver an excellent service to our members.
