Driving Forward into the World of Motorsport

Tactic Connect has been working within and around motorsport for some time now. Gen, our CEO, takes the lead in this area of our business and has worked independently for a number of years supporting various motorsport initiatives. Her first foray into motorsport was to advise an independent television producer on safety whilst filming at hot-rod events.

Over the past few years there has been a real focus within the Education Department of Tactic Connect not only in continuing education but formal education too. We have worked with some of the leading automotive organisations including Bell Helmets, Prodrive and Bahrain International Circuit to design and develop the world’s first Business of Motorsport Masters degree. The degree is delivered by our partner, National Motorsport Academy and validated by DMU. It has proved a real success, delivering high class online education to a global audience with a keen interest in the business areas directly relating to motorsport. Education doesn’t stop with the masters degree; we are currently developing a series of masterclasses to further the knowledge of those currently working in the business of motorsport. Our masterclasses loosely follow the topic covered within the Business of Motorsport degree but give participants the opportunity to really focus on one key area delivered by an expert from within the industry.

When Racing Mentor approached us to collaborate with them to deliver template contracts, we were only too pleased to oblige and we have now provided template contracts for their clients. Racing Mentor understood the need from their clients to receive specialist support in key areas of negotiation and we quickly got to work drafting endorsement, sponsorship and an image rights license to enable drivers to protect themselves. The key in this instance was accessibility to quality support at an affordable cost and we are pleased to say the contracts have been well received by those that need them most.

It has been our pleasure to continue the development of our work in motorsport, supporting diversity and equality as we progress and we were also delighted recently to invest in the first all-girls team in the 2021 F1 in Schools competition.
