The Legacy Sports and Education Foundation was formed in 2016 by former international footballers, Rio Ferdinand and Bobby Zamora, and the current West Ham Utd captain, Mark Noble.
The Foundation provides coaching and outreach programmes to encourage local community involvement using sport as the pathway. These outreach programmes provide activities focusing on education, inclusion, self-development, employability skills, recreation and sport. Legacy also partners with other established and operational sports charities and works predominantly in Manchester and London, with a particular focus on the East London area due to the obvious links with the three founders and West Ham United FC.
Tactic Connect has been working alongside Legacy since early 2019. We draft and review its legal documents and operational policies. We continue to offer directional, positional and strategic advice to the trustees, support them with their offer of programmes in the communities they serve, and source funding and partnership opportunities in order to safeguard, and ultimately strengthen, the future of the Foundation.
